A letter to our donors
Thank you.
Hello.
The fact that you opened this page, read it, and chose to support KidVest means more than you probably realize.
KidVest has been, and still is, an out-of-pocket project. Every lesson, every company, every economic story, every feature, and every late-night fix is there because I believe financial literacy is one of the most important gifts we can give the next generation.
Thank you for helping make that possible.
I hope you’re enjoying the app. More importantly, I hope your child is enjoying it too.
Where does the money go?
Nothing is really free.
- Servers cost money.
- Development tools cost money.
- Artwork costs money.
- Testing costs money.
- And time costs money.
A donation helps cover the upkeep and some of the cost of building it. It also helps move KidVest forward.
What I’m working on
Over the coming months, the focus is the living economy. I want that world to feel:
- Real
- Educational
- Engaging
- Consistent
I want children to understand not only what happened, but why. Why businesses succeed. Why industries change. Why economies grow. Why some decisions compound and others don’t.
The economic cycle is one of the biggest parts of the project. I plan to keep improving it until it feels as real and as useful as it can.
Feedback is welcome
One advantage of a small project is that I can actually listen. If you have any of these, I want them:
- Ideas
- Suggestions
- Feature requests
- Corrections
- Educational improvements
Some of the best changes have come from parents, educators, investors, and people who wrote in.
Version 1
This is version 1. KidVest is still young. There will be bugs, rough edges, and features that need work. Parts of the app run on a real clock, so some issues don’t show up for days, weeks, or months.
I use the app myself. I check it daily. If something breaks, I want to catch it first.
One person
KidVest is not backed by a large company. It is not a venture-funded startup. It’s me. One person who believes children deserve a better introduction to money, investing, ownership, and how the world works.
That’s the scary part and the exciting part. Every improvement is there because people like you thought the idea was worth supporting.
Thank you
Whether you gave a dollar, shared it with a friend, sent feedback, or used it with your family, thank you.
If even one child leaves with a better understanding of money, investing, ownership, and opportunity, then this experiment was worth starting.
Welcome to KidVest Academy.
Stay curious. Keep learning. And keep dreaming.
